TRUE BESPOKE SUITS

For over seven decades, Vaish has engaged in the business of true bespoke tailoring of luxury clothing for the crème-de-la-crème of Indian and International society. This business of men’s custom tailoring started in 40s, has seen many fashion phases and yet remained in vogue.

Artisans work tirelessly for weeks to reinforce a style into the final product. Let’s glean through the make-journey of a Truly Bespoke Ensemble.

1. MEASURMENT

A bespoke measurement is much more than a usual ready-to-mill specification. In a much illustrative way, one can say that a true bespoke measurement organizes bodily dimensions – posture and overall length, breadth & width into a 3D structure, set perfect with the human precision.

2. STAGED CUT

With your frame size accurately measured, the making process of a Vaish suit begins with the First cut. Here, suit pieces are cut down to every millimeter of your measurements using a rough fabric. Acting as a rough pattern, also known as Toile (Pronounced as “Tvaal”), it helps validation of the fit.

3. MARKING & RIPPING

This is a very essential stage because the master cutter/tailor sees and understands the fitting of suit in 3-D. As Toile is cut out of a rough canvas and is subjected to change, it is fitted over the person’s body. Then this Toile is ripped off piece by piece.

4. DRAPING THE RECONSTRUCT

With new dimensions marked on the canvas, the Toile is re-fitted onto your body bit by bit through bob pins and blind stitches to hold the suit temporarily. This is how your final fit transcends from a 2-D canvas drawing into a flawless 3-D shape.

5. ART OF CUT & STITCH

The process of seamless cutting & intricate stitching using the actual chosen fabric starts. Like an artist, the master tailor stitches the entire suit by hand. It is filled with visible Basting Stiches to hold the fabric, the lining and the interlining together. But, there is still some scope for optimisation.

6. TRIAL & ALTER

As a bespoke suit should never leave any scope for correction, it is ready for you to try now. An expert looks carefully how it fits you and if there is any scope of alteration left, it needs to be stretched out impromptu. We are almost there.

7. FINISHING

Once the trial and alter is done, the visible basting stiches go away as the suit can now hold itself perfectly at and after this stage. Thus, the finesse and natural appeal of the suit is given priority. The gruelling process is wrapping up!

8. THE TRUE BESPOKE SUIT

After the Finishing Process, which is one of many fundamental elements of presenting what is being asked, your suit is actually now ready. With exact measurements, noted process and unflinching scrupulous craftsmanship, this Vaish suit feels like a second skin that falls on your true body canvas and breathes the comfort with you.
